The 2006 Cor Romigberg is impressive on this vintage. Dark red berries, plums, grilled herbs, licorice and cedar are some of the many notes that flow from this deeply expressive, totally convincing wine. The 2006 boasts gorgeous depth, power and finesse. Mocha, new leather and tar are some of the notes that flesh out on the finish, adding further layers of complexity. Cor Romigberg is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a dollop of Petit Verdot from a vineyard in Caldaro, on the southern side of Alto Adige. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. Alois Lageder now has two distinct ranges. The Alois Lageder wines are made from purchased fruit, while the Tenutae Lageder wines are made from estate-owned vineyards, many of which are farmed biodynamically.Importer: Dalla Terra, Napa, CA; tel.
