I have often extolled the virtues of these delicious, low alcohol (about 4-5%), slightly effervescent and sweet sparkling wines from Piedmont. They are almost always available for under $15 a bottle, and Coppo's 1997 is a particularly admirable example. Offering up celestial quantities of peach, honey, apricot, and spring flower garden aromas, this light-bodied Moscato is slightly sweet, fresh, and fruity. However, these wines do not age well, and this 1997 must be drunk before the end of 1998.A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
