The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin delivers aromas of peach, white flowers, freshly baked bread and hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, satiny and charming, uniting bright acids and a generous core of fruit, it's already elegantly demonstrative out of the gates.

One of the highlights of the range this year is the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin, a medium to full-bodied, bright and mineral wine evocative of pear, freshly baked bread and citrus zest. Taut and incisive, it's the most ethereal of these communal-level bottlings, concluding with a long, chalky finish.

Exhibiting aromas of citrus zest, white flowers, pastry cream and orange oil, the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin is medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, with bright acids and an elegantly fleshy mid-palate. This has turned out nicely.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin is pretty and expressive, bursting with aromas of pear, waxy citrus rind, white flowers and fresh hazelnuts. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and elegantly textural but precise, with a charming core of fruit combined with fine cut and tension. This year there's a certain stylistic analogy between Jobard's Meursault Tillets and the even higher-altitude Puligny Trézin.

The 2016 Puligny Montrachet le Trezin, which consists of three and a half barrels this year, has a very perfumed bouquet with citrus fruit, Granny Smith apples and touches of Japanese yuzu. Underneath, there is just a touch of stoniness. The palate is well balanced with a slightly viscous opening, a fine bead of acidity with a punchy, quite vibrant finish that maybe just lacks a little sustain on the aftertaste. Not bad at all.
