The 2010 Pepestrino is 70% Trebbiano Toscano, 15% Chardonnay, 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Bright citrus and floral notes flow effortlessly from this crisp, refreshing Tuscan white. The international varieties are very nicely balanced here. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013. Felsina is the house Giuseppe Mazzocolin built, to borrow a phrase from Babe Ruth and the original Yankee Stadium. Last year Mazzocolin decided to step back from his insane day to day schedule running the winery.
