They reckon their white 2021 Albillo Real will gain complexity with time in bottle. They ferment the juice by pressing the clusters and aging the wine in used 500-liter oak barrels for six to eight months. It has moderate ripeness and 13.2% alcohol, with notes of ripe yellow fruit, dry hay and straw and comes through as bone dry with a bitter twist in the finish. 19,400 bottles and 300 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2022.

The white 2020 Albillo Real is now certified organic. It has an expressive nose that mixes notes of white fruit (pears) and flowers (jasmine) with some hints of dry straw and a round palate with good weight and texture, moderate alcohol (13.5%) and good freshness. There's a salty touch in the finish that reflects the granite soils. It matured in used 300- and 500-liter oak barrels with lees and batonnage for eight months. 15,372 bottles and 320 magnums were produced. It was bottled in June 2021.

I'm quite impressed by the clean white 2018 Albillo Real, which has a nose of white fruit and aromatic herbs that is quite attractive. The palate is round and could do with a little more freshness. It's medium-bodied and has moderate alcohol. A clear step up from the last vintage I tasted. 4,400 bottles were filled in April 2019.
