The 2001 La Solatia is a barrel-fermented Chardonnay, light gold in color, more Burgundian than Mediterranean in style with light oak spices well fused with peach and bergamot fruit, the volume well balanced by a fresh and bracing acidity. I would nonetheless opt for drinking this wine in the next two or three years.
