Lignier's Gevrey-Chambertin-Les Combottes is even deeper colored, with a textbook Gevrey nose of smoked meat, earthy spices, and sweet berry fruit. In the mouth, this excellent wine displays medium body, a creamy texture, and a lovely fat, long, heady finish. It, too, should be drunk over the next 5-6 years .
