The 2005 Teixar is 100% Garnacha from vines over 40 years old. It was aged for 14 months in new French oak. Dark ruby in color, it has an expressive bouquet of wood smoke, vanilla, black cherry, and a hint of chocolate. Full-bodied, layered, and ripe, it conceals enough structure to evolve for 5-7 years at which point it should deliver considerably more complexity. It should drink well through 2020. Importer: F.L.
