As wine insiders are aware, no place on earth produces such magnificently rich, dry, full-bodied Chenin Blanc as the micro-appellation of Savennieres. While not of the quality level of 1990 and 1989, 1992 has turned out some rich, interesting wines. More forward than usual, most are ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. This 1992 Savennieres offers an attractive, melony, honeyed, floral-scented nose, full-bodied, soft, rich flavors, low acidity, and a deep, alcoholic, powerful finish.
