Tenuta Ficuzza is the vineyard dedicated to Cusumano's best white wines including this pure expression of Chardonnay. The 2013 Sicilia Jalé is a warming and soothing wine with a lovely, creamy consistency. The bouquet reveals oak spice and vanilla backed by pine nut, yellow rose, stone fruit and lemon curd. This wine shows great effort and underlines a stylistic shift away from the over use of oak. Those toasted notes are evident, but they are well integrated at the back compared to previous (more exuberant) vintages of this wine.
