The 2007 Rosso Piceno Superiore Il Brecciarolo (Sangiovese, Montepulciano) is a big wine loaded with ripe dark fruit, French oak and spices. A brief sojourn in French oak also gives the Brecciarolo an element of richness that complements the fruit nicely. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012. Proprietor Angela Velenosi is one the Marche’s emerging producers. Her line-up is full of delicious wines that are reasonably priced.
