The 2000 Cote Rotie La Brocarde displays some of this vintage’s difficulties in its soft, medium ruby color, slightly herbal red cherry and raspberry-scented nose, and medium-bodied flavors that lack the muscle and depth of a top vintage such as 1999. Nevertheless, it is supple-textured, fragrant, and ideal for drinking over the next 5-7 years ... a perfect restaurant Cote Rotie.
