The 2007 Las Moradas de San Martin Las Luces is also 100% Garnacha sourced from 80+ year old vines that spent 21 months in new 500-liter French oak. Opaque purple in color, it offers up an herbal-tinged nose that is just a bit too green for my personal taste. Aside from that, it displays notions of wood smoke, earthy minerals, and black cherry. This leads to a dense, savory wine that displays its herbal character on the palate along with a clipped finish.
