The 2006 BRANCO FALCOARIA is often one of the best buys from this winery, outperforming its price category and more expensive wines in the lineup. It is a little more reticent this year, not quite the overachiever it has been in other years, but it is still quite a nice buy and I’d recommend it over the higher priced Fernao Pires in this lineup for its purity of fruit. Drink now-2009. The wines at this estate fall largely into the value category.
