The 2001 Montrachet, one of my personal all-time favorites, is positively stellar. In the glass, the 2001 possesses dazzling inner perfume and beautifully layered fruit to match its silky personality. Hints of lemon confit, marzipan, orchard fruit and mint all grace this utterly exquisite Montrachet. More than anything else, though, the 2001 is an absolutely glorious peak of expression.
