Even in a lighter style such as this, balance counts for everything, and the last bottle from my cellar revealed a modest amount of sweet, caramelized red and black fruits with earthy undertones. This medium-bodied Pomerol is beginning to fade, but it is still an attractive wine. Lucky owners of magnums may have something quite special, but owners of 750 ml bottles should drink it up.
