The 2005 Duas Quintas Reserva is revisited this issue for a checkup. It is fair to say that here, as with all of the Duas Quintas oldies, this demonstrates that it puts on weight with age and gets better. It also proves that it should last well, perhaps longer than even now indicated. Solidly built, fresh and dense, this tightly wound 2005 finishes with a certain, brooding air. It can easily be approached now, but it may still have some capacity to improve. It has become very impressive, showing me more than I thought that it could. This is a sleeper in this vertical.
