The 2010 Chardonnay shows the cool, steely side of the grape in a typical expression of Alto Adige that emphasizes energy and minerality. Grapefruit, lemon and mint are layered into the wiry finish. The 2010 is best enjoyed over the next year or two, while the aromas and flavors retain their vibrancy. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014.
Alois Lageder now has two distinct ranges. The Alois Lageder wines are made from purchased fruit, while the Tenutae Lageder wines are made from estate-owned vineyards, many of which are farmed biodynamically.
