In 1995, Dominique Laurent crafted three reference point Pommards. The dark-ruby colored Pommard Les Epenots (from vines planted in 1898!) exhibits mouth-watering, super-ripe blackberries, violets, roses and roasting spices. Amazingly deep and beautifully delineated flavors of black cherries, cassis and stones are found in this full-bodied, awesomely sweet, superbly balanced, viscous wine. Its superb structure and amazingly long and persistent finish guarantee its longevity. Projected maturity: 2003-2011+.
