Clos Manyetes is owned by Rene Barbier of Clos Mogador. The 2003 Manyetes is 70% Carinena and 30% Garnacha. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers lovely mineral, tobacco, black currant, plum, and kirsch aromas which jump from the glass. Layered on the palate with excellent concentration and depth, it offers intense flavors of cassis, black fruits and a hint of licorice. The wine has plenty of ripe tannins which are well concealed.
