The dense, medium to dark ruby/purple-colored 2000 Chiroubles Chateau de Javernand has a demure nose that exhibits rose and cherry aromas. It has gorgeous amplitude, coating the taster's palate with softly-textured, overripe blueberries and cherries that are intermingled with violets and other assorted flowers. This elegant, well-structured wine is seamless and flavorful. Anticipated maturity: now-2005.
