The bright ruby/purple-colored 2000 Brouilly Grande Cuvee (flower label) displays roses and candied cherry aromas. Sweet red berries, cherries, and blueberries can be found in its excellent, yet firmly structured personality. This intense, flavorful, medium-bodied wine may well merit a higher score after it softens some of its well-ripened but copious tannin. Drink it between 2002 and 2005. Bravo! to Georges Duboeuf for this impressive line-up of wines, and for the fact that he has remained true to his goal of delivering high quality at consumer friendly prices.
