The dense purple-colored 2000 boasts a sweet nose of graphite intermixed with cassis, licorice, and toasty espresso notes. As the wine sat in the glass, floral notes also emerged. Heady, ripe, and medium to full-bodied, it is the finest La Tour Carnet produced in many decades. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2016.
