The 2018 Red Blend Quantum is composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Deep garnet-purple in color, it charges out with bold notes of warm cassis, plum preserves and black raspberries, plus hints of lavender, tapenade and fried herbs. Full-bodied, firm and chewy, the palate features a great black fruit core and herb-laced finish.

The 2017 Red Blend Quantum is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. Deep garnet-purple in color, it leaps from the glass with lifted black cherries, warm cassis, mulberries and prunes scents followed by hints of balsamic and chargrill. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has firm, rugged tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on an earthy note. 7,029 cases were made.

Composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (69%) with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2015 Red Blend Quantum sports a deep garnet-purple color and nose of baked plums, blackberry preserves and dried mulberries with hints of fertile loam, dried Mediterranean herbs, cedar and Marmite toast. Full-bodied, rich and packed with expressive blackberry preserves and savory flavors, it has a chewy backbone and the earthiness lingers well into the finish.

There are 36,000 cases of the proprietary red blend, the 2014 Quantum, a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Malbec. Supple tannins, a dark ruby/purple color, a spicy, berry-fruited nose, medium to full body and a silky mouthfeel make for a delicious wine to drink over the next 8-10 years.

Another proprietary red, the 2013 Proprietary Red Quantum is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Malbec aged 20 months in 50% new French oak. This wine offers up notes of blueberry and blackcurrant fruit, coffee bean, licorice and spice box. It is medium to full-bodied, exhibits outstanding ripeness, purity and depth. Drink now-2028.
