The purple-colored 2008 Old Bush Vines Single Vineyard Limavida is composed of 90% Malbec, with the balance Carmenere, Carignan, and Tannat from a 1945 planting. It sports an aromatic array of pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, lavender, black cherry, and black plum. In the glass it opens to reveal a smooth texture, a surprisingly elegant personality, incipient complexity, and a lengthy, pure finish.
