The 2006 Brut Charles De Gaulle offers up crisp, well-delineated floral berries and minerals. The wine is a bit tight, most likely owing to its recent disgorgement, but it seems to have potential. This is Lot LU8615110, disgorged June, 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. This is a strong set of new releases from Drappier, with the exception of the roses, which fall a bit short of the quality level the estate achieves with its other wines.
