The 2009 Trepat (100%) is medium salmon pink in color with a bright bouquet of strawberry, rhubarb, and cherry blossom. Lively on the palate, just off-dry and refreshing, it is a very good value in sparkling wine. Most American consumers are unlikely to see any Freixenet product aside from the ubiquitous Cordon Negro. However, Freixenet produces a full range of Cavas ranging from very good to excellent in their price to quality ratio.
