Offering up aromas of spicy berry fruit, cassis, raw cocoa and forest floor, Drouhin's 2017 C?te de Nuits-Villages is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a textural attack that prefaces a generous core of fruit, framed by melting tannins and succulent acids, and concluding with a mouthwatering finish. As is generally the case, this fine value is a blend of fruit from Fixin, Prémeaux, Comblanchien and Corgoloin.

The 2013 C?te de Nuits Village, which was completely destemmed, has a light cranberry leaf and tomato-vine scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with light, slightly furry tannins, tart cherries forming the simple finish.
