The 2020 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is beautiful and expressive this vintage with a singular personality that combines mineral character with full, ripe fruit and soaring floral character. White peach, nectarine and acacia are complemented by touches of charcuterie, beeswax and flint on the nose. The palate unfolds its exotic, perfumed flavors slowly, boasting an expansive, mouth-coating texture and sparks of juicy acidity calling you back for another sip on the long finish.

The 2019 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is notable for its purity and detail this year. After some time in the glass, it blossoms to a perfume of jasmine and quince with layers of salted almonds and chalk. The palate is pure class, all silk and perfume, the intensity of its flavors countered by bursts of juicy acidity and savory undertones, and it finishes with incredible length. Barrel fermented, it matured for 16 months in 15% new French oak, and 2,148 cases were made.

The 2017 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, aged 16 months in 30% new French oak, has a lovely nose of tangy yogurt, white flowers, hazelnuts, beeswax and stone fruits. The medium-bodied palate is rounded, silky and concentrated with expansive perfume, layered, savory fruits and seamless freshness lifting the very long finish. 291 cases produced.

The 2016 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard comes from the own rooted, original vines planted in 1971. It was barrel fermented and aged 16 months in 31% new French oak with some lees stirring. It's a bit shy on the nose, slowly fleshing out to ripe Golden Delicious apple and yellow pear with white peach, spring blossoms, crushed stone, meringue and lemon peel. Medium to full-bodied with toasty fruits in the mouth, fleshing out to savory and stone fruit character, it's framed by juicy acidity and finishes long and toasty. 291 cases were made.

The 2015 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict opens with lemon curd, orange blossoms and struck match notes with a peachy undercurrent and hint of toast. Light to medium-bodied with appealing freshness, it gives subtle citrus flavors in the mouth and a nice savory finish.
