Primarily sourced from Carneros but with a healthy proportion of Oak Knoll fruit as well, the 2021 Chardonnay was fermented and matured in a mix of new oak (25%), used oak (50%) and stainless steel (25%). Scents of ripe pear, honey, melon and tangerine mark the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, plump and slightly creamy, with a finish that's crisp and zesty.

A blend of fruit from Carneros (75%) and Oak Knoll (25%), the 2020 Chardonnay boasts subtle oak shadings on the nose, plus notes of vanilla custard, citrus and pear. One-fourth of the volume matured in new French oak, another fourth in stainless steel and the balance spent time in older French oak; malolactic fermentation is blocked. This medium to full-bodied wine is plump and generous in the mouth, then adds a hint of chalkiness on the long, citrusy finish.

The 2019 Chardonnay was aged for seven months in 30% stainless steel, 17% new oak and 53% neutral oak. It comes sailing effortlessly out of the glass with notes of ripe yellow apple, fresh apricots and warm pears with hints of allspice, honey toast and paraffin wax. The medium-bodied palate is crisp, clean and refreshing with loads of citrusy accents and a spiced apple finish. 62,948 cases were made.

The 2018 Chardonnay comes strolling out of the glass with nonchalant notions of Golden Delicious apples, green guava and ripe peaches plus hints of paraffin wax, baking bread, marzipan and cedar. Medium-bodied, the palate has great intensity and purity with a satiny texture and zippy backbone, finishing long with loads of brightness. 39,000 cases were made.

The 2017 Chardonnay (aged eight months in 25% new oak) opens with fresh apples, Bosc pears and white grapefruit notes with wafts of honeysuckle and toasted almonds. Medium-bodied, the palate is vibrant, clean and wonderfully pure with loads of spiced apple nuances on the finish. 39,000 cases produced.
