The peppery, black cherry, blackberry, leather and roasted meat-scented 2013 Bandol (95% Mourvedre and 5% Grenache) is another terrific wine from Michel that has classic character, while always showing terrific purity of fruit and impeccable winemaking. Medium to full-bodied, silky and polished on the palate, it has a solid kick of tannin, yet they're ripe and nicely integrated into the wine. It already offers pleasure, yet will need 3-4 years to hit its stride and keep through 2028.
