The Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a dense ruby/purple-colored effort offering scents of minerals, black currants, and graphite. This medium to full-bodied, elegant yet structured, powerful wine reveals fine depth and length as well as a good finish. Following a string of indifferent performances, this is the finest wine I have tasted from Hess Collection since the mid-eighties.
