Bright ruby-red. Pungent perfume of currant, licorice, minerals, cedar and herbs; leafy in a Cabernet way. Plush but bright, with its herbal character giving the middle palate a light touch and lovely lift. In a distinctly dry, slightly green Old World style, with berry, licorice and spice flavors and a firm spine for a slow evolution in bottle. Probably not for fans of modern New World Cabernet, but this concentrated, tactile, deep wine offers lovely perfume and finesse and finishes with very suave, fine-grained tannins and excellent rising lift and grip.
