Camigliano’s 2011 Rosso di Montalcino impresses for its depth and generous, silky personality. Dark cherries, licorice, smoke and tobacco are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. The estate’s Rosso is one of the richer, lusher wines of the year, but the mid-weight personality of Sangiovese from this part of the zone nevertheless comes through in spades.
