The 2004 Beerenauslese Cuvee of Welschriesling and Chardonnay smelled of honey, candied apple and glazed pineapple. In the mouth, the same candied, glazed, and honey-drenched fruit characteristics continued but a juicy, sappy streak runs invigoratingly through this, leading to a lovely, luscious finish, demonstrating precisely why this synergistic combination of grapes is so often the basis of nobly sweet wines from the Neusiedlersee area.
