While the rest of the Loire's viticultural regions have suffered in recent years due to late season rains, the early ripening Muscadet has done quite well. This stone, gravel, and salt-scented wine is light to medium-bodied, crisp, yet fat. Pears, flint, gravel, and stones can be found in its satin-textured character. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.Note: The wine tasted is a special cuvee produced specifically for its US importer.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
