The Cascina Adelaide 2015 Barolo is a dark and plush expression of Nebbiolo that offers a contemporary point of view in this very traditional winemaking appellation. The wine is darkly concentrated and packed tight with black fruit, savory spice and cured leather. Cascina Adelaide is one of the more difficult estates in Barolo to read, only because it seems the winemaking style (with more oak influences) takes precedence over presenting the purity of the grape. Some 20,000 bottles were made.
