The 2007 Sangiovese is less convincing in its balance. It, too, is made in a rich, concentrated style, yet some uncharacteristic green notes lurk beneath. Impressive as this wine is for the sheer depth of its fruit, there isn’t a lot of varietal character here. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
