The top of the Kendall-Jackson pyramid, in terms of both price and quality, are the single-vineyard offerings. All of these wines performed well. The elegant, berry/strawberry/menthol-scented 1995 Cabernet Franc Buckeye Vineyard makes a fine initial palate impression, but it shortens out in the mouth to reveal barely above average flavor concentration, and a spicy, slightly woody finish.
