Made from 100% Sangiovese aged 14 months in both barrels and foudres, this outstanding 1998 is a smoky, earthy, Tuscan-styled offering with notes of underbrush, black cherries, strawberries, licorice, and herbs. Notes of tobacco and minerals also make an appearance. The wine possesses a supple texture, medium to full body, and excellent length as well as concentration.
