The 2015 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has an expressive redcurrant and cranberry leaf bouquet, undergrowth, wilted roses and a subtle sea spray element. This feels complex and engaging. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, grippy in the mouth with good depth. This feels solid in the mouth, a Clos Saint-Denis with backbone and I can see it ageing for a couple of decades. Serious...but compelling.
