The 2013 Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard comes from a dry-farmed site planted in 1945 in the alluvial, rocky soils on the west side of Paso Robles. This 2013 is less complex than the Ueberroth, nor is it as multi-dimensional and concentrated, but it offers a gutsy, lusty mouthful of wine. It comes across as more straightforward than its nearby neighbors. Tipping the scales at 15.7% alcohol, the wine has good acidity, no heat, and a heady finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
