The 2015 Chianti Classico is a soft and fleshed-out wine with sweet characteristics of ripe cherry and blackberry that give the wine a dark appearance and sweet approach. The wine's main appeal is primary fruit. Sangiovese (80%) is blended with a mix of other red grapes that are allowed in the appellation. In the mouth, the wine is fresh and one-dimensional. It's a simple package but well worth this low price point. Some 300,000 bottles are produced.

Expressive aromas of cherry, leather and tobacco start things off, while a mineral element chimes in on the palate. Elegant, firm and balanced, with a pure cherry note lingering on the finish. Best from 2018 through 2028. 2,500 cases made.??–BS??Region: Italy / Chianti Classico Select to Add
