The 2012 Sommerhalde Sp?tburgunder GG is intense yet also refined and elegant on the fine and concentrated nose thanks to small berries as a result of the coolish flowering. Summer was warm and quite wet, but the harvest was rather late and cool, though. Silky, refined and intense on the palate, this is a full-bodied, tight and intense, very mineral and saline Sommerhalde with a long, pure, fresh and saline finish. It is impressive yet still very young. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in October 2023.
