From plots distributed throughout the slope, with younger and older vines and fermented entirely in steel tank, the 2020 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett shows itself as a lush, round, piquant and quite dense Kabinett with serious structure and persistent, salivating salinity and crystallinity. It is a mouthful of Riesling that tastes rather like a feinherb Sp?tlese more than a sweet Kabinett. Whatever it is, it will be a fun wine in seven to 10+ years. 9% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure.
