The Clos de la Roche is a classic example of a wine from this underrated Grand Cru vineyard. It is rich, full bodied, and deep, with an earthy, mineral character to its plummy fruit. It needs a few years in the cellar to round out and reach maturity, and then should last until the turn of the century.
