The 1997 Sangiovese is the richest effort I have yet tasted from Flora Springs (their first vintage of Sangiovese was 1992). Although the 1997 reveals dry tannin in the finish, it represents the essence of strawberry and framboise-like fruit. This exuberant, youthful, lovely wine is meant to be drunk in its medium-bodied, vigorous youth.
