The Margaux-like 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District is elegant as well as authoritatively flavored. There are 4,000 cases of this 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, and 2% Malbec blend. Notes of licorice, white flowers, black currants, and minerals emerge from this perfumed, focused, medium-bodied, pure effort. Tannin in the finish suggests additional cellaring is warranted.
