De Bortoli is now making two PHI Lusatia Park Vineyard wines that are products of a joint venture with Shelmerdine. Produced since 2005, the 2008 PHI Lusatia Park Vineyard Chardonnay comes from a single vineyard planted in 1985. Receiving full malo-lactic and barrel ferments but no new oak, this wine has notes of concentrated grapefruit, pineapple, apricots and cream with a suggestion of white pepper. The palate is tightly knit with crisp acid, a medium body and a long finish. 500 cases produced. This wine can be enjoyed now and through 2016.
