The 2007 Petite Sirah DB Selection delivers big bang for the buck. Dark ruby/purple-colored, it has an excellent nose of plum and blueberry. On the palate it is meaty and surprisingly rich. This rather chunky, grapy wine is a good alternative to the ubiquitous Bogle Petite Sirah from California, its only real competition in the value Petite Sirah segment.
